Why is my xbox 360 overheating?

<< Uncategorized  Uncategorized >>

I’ve had this xbox 360 for almost a year and it has never failed before.
It’s not on the carpet and it’s well ventilated – there is a load of room behind it, but after about 30 minutes it will overheat and show the 2 red lights. If i turn it back on, it will work again for about 10 minutes before doing the same thing. Does anyone know why it is doing this?

the vent is on the bottom of the xbox not the back. lie it down horizontaly and it shouldnt over heat. dont buy an intercooler fan. it leeches power from the xbox 360 and over heats it.

It’s an older console, it might have melted alittle inside.

Have you tried putting a fan on it?

if its an older console then the board inside pops out of place when it overheats. try this website, gives a good few bits of information on fixing some problems
