Very common. Find your receipt, call it in and they will repair it for you. My friend’s 360 just overheated.

You should try Craigslist. I’m not sure how it is there but in the bay area there are tech guys here that will fix the 360 for 25bucks I’ve used it and worked great.

You could just try a cooling fan from gamestop. I dont know how bad you overheating is so i cant say it will work but i think $30 beats spending $100.

you can get fans for the 360, but make sure you read reviews first before you buy one because some will actually make it worse. I have a Nyko and it works well for me.

If it is the red ring that goes around your power button, then u must get it fixed, there where videos showing how to be able to use it for a temporary period by wrapping it in towels, but i don’t AT ALL recommend that, because that will make your Xbox360 worse, so when you DO decide to get it fixed, it wont be fixable… and also, Microsoft extended out warranties to 4 years because of the red ring. so, i would recommend calling them again and asking if you still have your warranty, if u do it will be free.

    Hope I helped.

Well, my first question is do you like tearing things apart and putting it back together? If you do, then just buy a new fan with cooling (if preferred) with the correct size and stick it beside the main hard drive. You will have to have a budget of at least $50 so save up! (I am not responsible for any damage you cause in this process)

Lie to Microsoft and tell them that you have the red ring of death. They should repair it for free then.

Idk, i wouldn’t replace the fan their is a rumor that MS check the voltage every time you sign into xbox live. Which results in a ban.

    Correct me if I’m wrong.
