My Xbox 360 keeps overheating even though I have an intercooler. I can’t even play it for an hour before it starts to heat up very quickly
If your console was manurfactured in 2005, then you can send it in to Microsoft, and they will fix your problem for free. Other than that make sure it is away from all heated area’s like DVD players, VCR’s, air vents, heaters, windows, or anything else that might project heat. Also keep it in an open space so it can breathe, do not store it in a cramped cabinet or something. Make sure nothing is blocking the air vents on the console and keep it clean and don’t set anything on top of it.
What should I do if my xbox 360 keeps overheating?

You probably got an older version of the Xbox 360. Send it in to Microsoft and they ship you back another one free of charge. All you have to do is pay the shipping and handling fees. Since the one they will be sending you is a newer version, you shouldn’t experience the overheating issues. If your new 360 overheats then it’s probably your fault. Move your 360 so it has some space to "breath." At least a few inches on either side. If your 360 is on carpet and is standing straight then lay it down sideways because it has cooling holes on both the ends. Good luck. Oh, you might want to contact Microsoft to ask about the sending in of your xbox 360.
